This event is free either in-person or online but registration is recommended.
We are so excited to host our 8th annual symposium focusing on poultry welfare! Speakers will be presenting a variety of topics including what we already know about poultry welfare, what we are doing to add to that knowledge and where the gaps are. Each speaker will have 30-45 minutes to talk about their topic with the potential for a question and answer session. Attendees can also earn 7 continuing education credits from PAACO.
The event is free, and it will be a hybrid event from 8:30 am-4:30 pm CST on October 12th. The in-person event will take place at the Don Tyson Center for Agricultural Sciences located at 1371 W Altheimer Dr., Fayetteville, AR 72704. About the Tyson Center for Food Animal Wellbeing
The University of Arkansas has a deep-rooted relationship with the food animal industry in the areas of outreach and applied research. The Tyson Center for Food Animal Wellbeing (CFAW) team works closely with three units within the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture: the Center of Excellence for Poultry Science, the Department of Animal Science, and the National Agricultural Law Center. The CFAW goal is to improve animal health, handling, and productivity through husbandry practices that optimize animal welfare.
