Aug 3. Rice Field Day to Cover Production, Pests and Policy
Rice Field Day will be held at Rice Research and Extension Center in Stuttgart on Aug. 3

LITTLE ROCK — From production to policy, the 2023 Rice Field Day will hit all the big topics for Arkansas rice growers, consultants and agriculture professionals.
The field day, hosted by the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture, will be held at the Rice Research and Extension Center, located at 2900 Arkansas Highway 130 in Stuttgart. There is no cost to attend, and registration opens at 7 a.m. The event is being co-hosted by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agriculture Research Service, which operates the neighboring Dale Bumpers National Rice Research Center.
“We are excited to welcome everyone to the Rice Research and Extension Center again this August for the Rice Field Day,” said Alton Johnson, director of the Rice Research and Extension Center. “This event will be packed with research updates, production recommendations and more.”
The field day will include two field tours that run simultaneously, starting at 7:30 a.m., and again at 9:30 a.m. Speakers and topics include:
