About Jennifer Cox Smith
Born in Jonesboro and raised in Walnut Ridge, Jennifer Cox Smith was known across northeast Arkansas for her dedication to charitable causes. Jennifer was an active member of the Northeast Arkansas Humane Society, a board member of the Arkansas Children’s Hospital Foundation, and the Northeast Arkansas Women’s Crisis Center. She was active in Make-A-Wish, Arkansas Children’s Hospital Run For The Roses Celebration, and the Lawrence County Ralph Joseph Leadership Class. Jennifer was a Chi Omega National Adviser and was a past Lawrence County Rice Queen.
As was tradition on the Smith Farm in Lawrence County during harvest, Jennifer would rise early, prepare and label a meal for each worker, and deliver it in person at lunchtime.
This kitchen is dedicated to her.
