Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center
The Pauline Whitaker Animal Science Center is a multipurpose facility located one mile north of the University of Arkansas campus, just off of Garland Avenue. The facility houses many spaces available for rental, including the following:
- A 100′ x 250′ riding arena with seating for 750 people
- A 2,500 square foot foyer with a small kitchen
- A 10,000 square foot show barn adjacent to the arena with 25 pens, scales, a squeeze chute, and a washing & drying area
- Three classrooms (can be used alone or combined into a space for larger events)
- A small conference room
- A 125′ x 200′ outdoor practice arena (not available during academic year)
Fit for a diverse group of events, the center has hosted everything from Insect Festival, to dog shows, to student awards banquets, to a variety of other ag-related events. Please see our rates and booking information below to get started with your reservation.

Booking a Space
Our facilities are available for rental between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. Rental outside of these hours is subject to an additional fee, outlined above. The Outdoor Practice Arena is not available to rent during the academic year.

Deposits, Payments, and Cancellations
A $500.00 refundable deposit is required for all reservations, along with a signed Use Agreement. These must be received by the Division at least 30 days prior to the Usage Move-In, or the reservation will be cancelled.
A rental may be cancelled by either party, without penalty, by providing written notice to the other party at least 30 days prior to the event.
- If notice of cancellation is given less than 30 days prior to the move-in date, then the renter will forfeit $250.00 of their deposit.
- If notice of cancellation is given less than 10 days prior to the move-in-date, then the renter will forfeit the entire $500.00 deposit.
