Brown patch caused by Rhizoctonia solani is the most prominent disease on tall fescue lawns. Fungicide applications may be made 3-4 times per season for complete control, but is it possible to make earlier applications that result in longer control? This research evaluates spring applications of various granular and sprayable fungicides made on soil temperature thresholds compared to an early curative and standard preventive application scheme.
