WATCH: John Rupe – Experimentation and Collaboration | Behind the Discovery
By Paden Johnson – Sep. 29, 2023
John Rupe says collaboration is vital to scientific research and discovery. One of his favorite parts of working as a professor of entomology and plant pathology is the people he gets to work with, both within the university and out in the field. He also loves seeing students connect with people in the profession and grow their careers.
John studies soybean diseases, especially factors that prevent seeds from coming up. His lab works on seedling diseases, seed treatments and seed infection. He said he is excited to be working with a student now to learn how foliar fungicides affect the seed microbiome.
